This learning unit focuses on the archiving of research data, i.e., aspects that must be considered for long-term digital preservation and the necessary data preparation. The perspective is that of the “data provider“. Since data archiving is a prerequisite for its scientific reuse (in research and teaching), both learning units should be understood as interconnected. In the reuse learning unit, the focus is on the “data consumer“.
