Data Management
in Ethnographic Research
DATA AFFAIRS
is a freely accessible platform designed to provide early-career researchers and educators working with qualitative data with an overview of research data management issues and to encourage interactive self-study. It was developed within the Collaborative Research Centre 1171, “Affective Societies.“
DATA AFFAIRS
focuses on the data management challenges that arise specifically when working with qualitative data in ethnographic research. The platform encourages a (critical) engagement with Open Science while supporting a reflective and systematic approach to handling empirical research data.
DATA AFFAIRS
offers informative texts and research tips, field reports and practical examples, a glossary, and application-oriented exercises (with suggested solutions), all of which can help enhance one’s own research data management practices.
INFORMATION
In this section, early-career researchers and interested parties will find articles on the central aspects of research data management. The content can be freely explored.
LEARNING
The learning unit topics are designed didactically and are suitable for self-study. The practical tasks and suggested solutions enable independent learning and in-depth knowledge processing.
